Americas Most Wanted host, John Walsh son’s murder solved

After 27 long years, John and Reve Walsh will finally get some closure in the death of their six year old son, Adam.

Adam Walsh was last seen in a Sears Department Store across the street from the Hollywood, FLA Police Station. Two weeks later his head was recovered 120 miles away in a canal by local fishermen. His body has never been found.

Hollywood police officially closed the case and named deceased prisoner, Otis Toole as the killer. Toole died a decade ago in prison on an unrelated offense. He had confessed and then recanted several times for the murder but police were never able to prove his guilt.

John Walsh wrote in his 1997 book, Tears of Rage, that Toole was the prime suspect. He also sharply criticized the Hollywood Police Department for mishandling of crucial evidence including a blood stained piece of carpet from Toole’s car.

John and Reve Walsh turned their heartbreak into a National campaign to bring about change on behalf of missing children, including the creation of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

John Walsh has continued his crusade for justice as host of America’s Most Wanted.

Our hearts go out to the Walsh family and our Thanks to the Hollywood Florida Police for finally bringing a close to this horrific case.
