I’m Dreaming Of A White Christmas

“White Christmas” is an Irving Berlin song whose lyrics reminisce about White Christmases. Everyone is familiar with the words “I’m dreaming of a white Christmas, Just like the ones I used to know”. White Christmas is the biggest selling Christmas song of all time.

The animated Christmas Card below is a homage to a great song, a great band, and a great Holiday. It is sung by the Drifters featuring the bass singer Bill Pinkney on lead and Clyde McPhatter on tenor. The animated cartoon was created by Joshua Held.

Some of you may have seen this before … but to me no Christmas is complete without hearing White Christmas. So enjoy!

This rendition of White Christmas was recorded by Clyde McPhatter and the Drifters in 1953. It was #2 on the charts in 1954. Joshua Held did the animation in 2002.

White Christmas was written by Irving Berlin for the Movie “Holiday Inn” and was recorded by Bing Crosby in 1942, and received the Academy Award in that year. Crosby recorded it again in 1947, and that recording has become the standard. It was also featured in the 1954 movie White Christmas with Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney, and Vera-Ellen.

Have a Merry Christmas.
